First — thank you. This year, CV Giving Day crossed $1 million for the first time: 173 nonprofits, 1,395 donors, 30 days of giving. Whether you gave, cheered, or ran one of those campaigns, you were part of that. 💜
Now, the honest truth: we only ever get to talk to you during giving season. Registration in November, trainings through the holidays, early giving in February, the big day in March… and the rest of the year, we never get to say hello.
We'd like to fix that. The Altruist is our way of staying in touch — you'll hear from fellow CV Giving Day participants, a word or two from our sponsors, plus the useful stuff: training dates, kickoff news, and first take on everything CV Giving Day 2027.
And there's a bigger conversation. We're all hearing about AI everywhere — The Altruist is our version of keeping you in the loop on where it meets our world of philanthropy and the nonprofits of the Coachella Valley. Nobody else in the desert is having the conversation about where AI and philanthropy meet. We think it's worth having, and that's exactly what The Altruist is for.
